2014 Performances

This year you will notice some changes to the Firefly Concert series.  We are hosting just two concerts. Concerts will be held on Thursdays in July and August and the start time will be at 6:30 pm. We will also have food and refreshments available for purchase from Marks Pizzeria. Marks is donating a portion of the pizza, fried dough, cookie, snack and refreshment sales to the Friends of the Library. So join us for great concerts (free of charge) and purchase some delicious food to support the library.

Bring a blanket, chairs and the entire family to enjoy the sounds of summer.

July 24 @ 6:30 pm-- GHOST RIDERS (Country and Western music) The Ghost Riders capture a broad range of music, featuring originals from their four contemporary album releases and some traditional classics. The Ghost Riders show lifts your spirit with drivin’ "Hardcore Country" music with a twang, that makes listeners of all ages want to get out and dance and have fun.

August 21@ 6:30 pm-- DADY BROTHERS (Irish and Folk music)
John and Joe Dady are The Dady Brothers, and as audiences in the U.S., Canada, and Ireland know, the name is synonymous with fine musical talent and fun! This versatile duo plays:

  • uilleann pipes
  • harmonica
  • and even penny whistle...
...while performing a wide range of music styles including:

  • Folk
  • Irish
Their on-stage wit and wide musical repertoire make every performance too short!

Rain?

The concerts take place rain or shine.  If it is only sprinkling, we will go ahead on the lawn, so bring an umbrella.  Anything more serious -- steady rain -- means we will move under the portico.  And thunder and lightning mean that we will be in the Community Room.  So, if the weather is threatening, get here early because space is limited under the roof or inside.
